When performing hot-melting or electro-melting connection operations in cold climates (below -5°C) or high wind conditions, protective measures should be taken, or the process parameters of the connection equipment should be adjusted. When connecting pipes, special cutters or pipe cutting tools should be used for pipe cutting. The cutting section should be flat, smooth, and free of burrs, and should be perpendicular to the pipe axis. Polyethylene (PE) water supply pipelines should be connected with pipes and pipes of the same manufacturer, material, and brand, and between pipes and fittings, and between pipes and pipes. Polyethylene pipes of different SDR series should not be welded. For connection, when pipes and fittings of different SDR series are welded to each other, it is advisable to make the welded joint wall thickness the same through mechanical processing.
